Restoration efforts are underway but face significant challenges due to the scale of the destruction.

Storm Progression and Regional Impact

The Malaysian Meteorological Department tracked the storm moving west-northwest at 30 kilometers per hour with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour. While the typhoon has been downgraded from its peak intensity, meteorological authorities warned that the storm system continues to generate strong winds and rough seas over the South China Sea, potentially affecting additional regions with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the coming days.
