Western countries transfer $500 million to PKK/PYD

A US report reveals Western countries' astounding financial support sent through so-called aid foundations to PKK/PYD terrorists operating in Syria

Some so-called "aid foundations" were discovered to have been used as a tool to support the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorists by Western countries.

The finding was revealed by the United States Department of State, which prepared three reports on the activities of the 14 so-called non-governmental organizations.

According to the report, 14 non-governmental organizations, including International Rescue Committee (IRC), International Medical Corps (IMC) and GOAL transferred approximately $500 million "possibly" to PKK/PYD terrorists under the name of humanitarian aid.

The money reached the terrorists based in the Hasakah, Afrin and Ayn al-Arab districts of Syria, according to the report of US State Department.

'More than 2.5 years long issue'

According to the sources speaking to Turkish Yeni Şafak daily newspaper, the terrorist organization has been recieving this so-called aid for over 2.5 years.

These "aid foundations" have also been used for illegal activities, such as human trafficking and product trade, according to the report.

The sources also indicated that another NGO based in Aleppo was used to transfer over 1 billion dollars to the PKK/PYD terrorist organization in the last two years.

The listed organizations, many of which operate in the area close to Hatay, Gaziantep Kilis, Şanlıurfa and Mardin provinces of Turkey, are being funded through the Carter Center, İnaf, Rockefeller Institution and Bill Clinton Institution.

Continuous support of US, West

Currently, more than 10 percent of the total residents of Aleppo, along with other Syrian districts under attack and occupied by the PKK/PYD, are facing threats from the PKK/PYD as they remain in the areas that the terrorist organization occupies.

Ankara denounces the PYD and YPG as affiliates of the PKK terrorist organization, which have been conducting terrorist attacks targeting Turkey for three decades and which is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.

However, Washington insists on indicating that YPG is their ally against Daesh, despite Turkey's warnings.

Recent reports revealed that the U.S. has been sharing intelligence with the PKK/PYD in Syria as a move against Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army soldiers.
