Türkiye’s Diplomatic Role
Notably, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the discussions, highlighting Türkiye’s active mediation between Kyiv and Damascus. The meeting builds on a joint statement signed last September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, when Ukraine and Syria formally restored diplomatic relations after a years‑long rupture.
