205 PKK terrorists killed since December 15

As many as 205 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists have been killed in the southeastern provinces in Turkey's sweeping operations, Turkey's General Staff said on Thursday.
One hundred thirty-nine PKK terrorists were neutralized in Cizre, eight in Silopi, 33 in Sur, 18 in Dargeçit, 3 in Nusaybin and 4 in Bitlis Since December 15.
The operations have intensified in the Nur neighborhood of Cizre town.
A huge crack team of 10,000 soldiers and security personnel has been involved in the sweeping operation.
Security measures in eastern Turkey were ramped up to prevent any attacks targeting civilians in regions where curfews were declared and operations launched against the PKK.
Thousands of residents in Eastern Turkey have left their homes as the PKK has been threatening security of civilians by attacking mosques and schools and terrorizing the region.
The PKK is an armed militant group that has been carrying out terror attacks mostly in southeastern Turkey since early 1980s. The group is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, NATO, the US, and the EU.
