Famous director nominated for Italian awards

"Fasten your seat belt", the last movie directed by internationally-known Turkish director Ferzan Ozpetek, has been nominated for 11 David di Donatello Awards, commonly referred to as ''Italian Oscars''

Ozpetek''s 10th film "Fasten your seat belt'', tells about love, friendship and solidarity between people.

The film, covered in the city of Lecce, was nominated to most prestigious award for Italian cinema industry in 11 categories including best cinematography, best music, best set design, best costume, best makeup and best hair design.

The movie''s screenplay has been jointly written by Özpetek together with Gianni Romoli.

''It is quite important to be nominated for such an award and it is a nice feeling, but far nice one is to think about winning it'' Özpetek told to reporters.

Özpetek had been awarded the David di Donatello in 2002 for his movie ''Facing Windows.''
