What is behind the new wave of terror?

İlker Başbuğ was the chief of General Staff.
He had invited a group of journalists to the General Staff quarters.
First, proper information was given regarding our martyred soldiers, guards, police and civilian losses in the fight against the PKK.
They were striking figures in terms of showing the climb in terror in the 1990s. Terror led to terror; the state of emergency order was causing the effect that adding fuel to the flames would.
In 1996, the incident peaked with the number of people who lost their lives reaching 6,000.
Those were the days when Kurdish tapes and songs were banned, burning villages and unsolved murders were all around.
İlker Pasha had said, "This cannot be ended with an armed struggle. Economic and social measures must be taken."
We came from those days to today; the bans on Kurdish are lifted, and the reconciliation process has prevailed.
But the problem still exists, because it has changed form.
Turkey had to be kept busy while Iraq and Syria were in civil war and as the U.S. was redesigning the region.
Abdullah Öcalan would say, "When I established the PKK, I was told to keep Turkey busy." It was Syrian President Hafiz Assad who had asked him to keep Turkey busy.
During his visit to Damascus, Prime Minister Turgut Özal opened the Öcalan issue.
The rest is from journalist Güneri Civaoğlu, in Özal's words:
"I told President Assad that Abdullah Öcalan is living in Syria." "He replied, 'We as a state do not know.' "
"Upon this I said our intelligence has found Öcalan's address and telephone numbers and that I could give him the page containing all this information."
I passed on the page to him.
President Assad glanced at the page and placed it in his pocket.
A similar scene had also taken place during Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel's visit. Back then, we believed we could solve this if we caught Öcalan.
We have Öcalan, but the PKK has grown bigger. There is something else here.
Those who established the PKK with Öcalan in the Fis village of Lice are at the head of the organization.
While the PKK has been continuously restructured over the years by the same staff, what happened to us?
In 36 years, we had 13 chiefs of General Staff, 22 governments and seven presidents.
As the PKK continued to build itself every year and developed international relationships, we chose to fight terrorism and started the reconciliation process. Yet, when fighting the PKK and when carrying out the reconciliation process, we sometimes neglected the fact that we were fighting the Middle East's most bloody organization.
Otherwise, would President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan be obliged to say, "The terrorist organization stocked arms during the reconciliation process"?
As we were getting ready to enjoy the national football match, our happiness was half-lived.
Last night, we received another piece of heart-wrenching news from Dağlıca. We are face to face with one if the heaviest attacks.
I am still after the answer to a question.
Why did the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the PKK and the People's Revolutionist Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) all take action at the same time? Which hand pressed the button of all three terrorist organizations on the same day? What was the force that made ISIL take action in Suruç, the PKK in Ceylanpınar and the DHKP-C in Istanbul?
Did the İncirlik agreement made with the U.S. on the same day have any effect on this?
As "the wolf likes misty weather,” someone is trying to drag Turkey, which lost the June 7 general elections, into the quagmire of the '90s to be kept busy again.
They took care of Iraq and Syria. Now it's time to take care of Turkey.
They want to carry the fire in Iraq and Syria to Turkey.
I am in contact with the "Wise Men" in the region.
They want to take action to stop any further bloodshed.
A hand has taken action to pull Turkey into the spiral of terror and instability once again.
This is what Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu wanted to point out when he said, "Our country is going through a historic test." Our greatest gain is to be managed by a "state mind" that is aware of this. We have seen so many minds before.

I have to state that Nationalist Movement Party Chairman Devlet Bahçeli surprised me at this point. I am watching Bahçeli with my mouth open. As we received the news of martyrs from Dağlıca, he targeted not the PKK but the president and is able to tell the Republic of Turkey's president to "Keep quiet or leave." I analyzed Bahçeli's statement very carefully. The PKK is mentioned at two points in his statement. In both points, he uses a term like the "AKP-PKK government." How can you show the 63rd government, formed as a requirement of the Constitution, and the terrorist organization as two equal elements? Is it MHP's job to give the PKK such a share? Don't make our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the unity of this country turn in their graves.
The Justice and Development Party (AK Party) is as much of an indispensible element of democracy as the MHP; it was elected with rightful votes and is the representative of the national will. As our nation is deeply grieving with the news of martyrs from Dağlıca, what is this anger, Mr. Bahçeli?
These are the days when statesmen need to act like statesmen. If only you, too, had acted upon the awareness of responsibility like CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
I am sure you are cursing the PKK, but because you are blinded by your hatred toward Erdoğan, there is not a single word condemning the PKK.
But you attack the president?
I also have something to say about the smear campaign aimed at Prime Minister Davutoğlu. So the prime minister went to the football match while he knew about the Dağlıca raid?
A man like Ahmet Davutoğlu, whose eyes water at the mention of the nation, flag and our martyrs aside, no prime minister of the Republic of Turkey would do this.
The prime minister monitored the operation in the region the entire day. The moment he received the bad news from Dağlıca, he immediately left the match and flew to Ankara. As for the martyr's child who watched the match in the prime minister's lap...
The prime minister visited two martyr families ahead of the match. When they proposed to watch the match,Davutoğlu said, "Of course, your wish is my command."
We gave 16 of this country's children as martyrs this day. Turkey is facing a new wave of terrorist attacks. This time the wave of terrorism is different from the past. A plan with a heavier, more effective external dimension has been activated. We are aware of the danger. Please, at such a critical point, let nobody try to carry out perception operations through our martyrs.
