Turkish FM Fidan meets Singapore PM Wong, counterpart Balakrishnan in official visit

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was welcomed by Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during an official visit to the Southeast Asian city-state. Fidan also met with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam to discuss bilateral ties.
Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was welcomed by Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Tuesday during an official visit to the Southeast Asian city-state. The meeting took place in Singapore, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a post on NSosyal.
Meetings with counterparts
Fidan also met with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan, the ministry said in a separate post. The Turkish foreign minister later met with Singapore's Home Affairs Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security K. Shanmugam, it added.
Purpose of visit
Fidan is visiting Singapore as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss issues of mutual interest. The visit reflects Türkiye's growing engagement with Southeast Asian nations and its strategy to expand diplomatic and economic relations across Asia.
