The nation's ascent from 12th to 10th place globally was fueled by an 18.4% annual increase in applications, a growth rate that surpasses the world average.

A standout achievement for Türkiye in the 2024 intellectual property landscape is its world-leading rate of women inventors. Under the international Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system, women were responsible for 26.1% of the patent applications originating from the country.
