Video footage shows a Jewish activist attacked in a Chicago-area synagogue for supporting Palestinian rightsThe conference, on how to combat the growing boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, was held on Sunday at Temple Beth-El, in Northbrook, a suburb of Chicago.Michael Deheeger, a 32-year-old Jewish activist, interrupted the speakers at one point, saying: “I am Jewish; I support Palestinian human rights.” The panel audience reacted to him with a staggering degree of hostility. While one of the audience members says to him, “You support killing Jews!” another woman shouts, “Hitler! Hitler!”
