Albayrak Group expands investment projects in Guinea

In a recent news report by Evasion TV, the burgeoning investment projects by Türkiye's Albayrak Group in Guinea were highlighted, showcasing the group's ever-expanding role in the country's pivotal investment ventures.

One of the significant milestones in this journey is a strategic commercial agreement. Albayrak Group has secured a lease spanning 20 hectares of agricultural land in Guinea's Dubréka province in order to cultivate onions on a substantial scale. This ambitious project not only promises to contribute to the local agricultural landscape but also aligns with Guinea's broader goals of achieving self-sufficiency in food production.

The report also pointed out that the project in Dubréka, near the capital Conakry, is an ideal solution to the recent onion crisis that has escalated in the capital in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Guinean Prime Minister Bernard Goumou issued instructions to urgently address the food problem by rapidly increasing agricultural production through the use of plastic greenhouses. The aim is for the country to achieve self-sufficiency in onion production by the end of 2024. He stated, "It is not reasonable for us to continue importing onions from Mali, Senegal, and Europe. Therefore, we must do everything in our power to reduce our dependence on foreign sources in securing our basic needs by the end of 2024."

Beyond agriculture, Albayrak Group is taking substantial steps to invigorate Guinea's transportation infrastructure. The project involves a comprehensive modernization effort targeting a crucial transportation station. With the intent of enhancing local mobility and trade, this initiative reflects the group's commitment to broader socio-economic development in the region.

The significance of these projects was underscored by the presence of Ahmed Albayrak, Chairman of the Administrative Council of the Albayrak Group, at the signing ceremony, serving as a testament to the group's unwavering dedication to Guinea's economic advancement.
