Turkey’s president spoke to his Venezuelan counterpart over the phone on Tuesday.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Nicolas Maduro discussed steps to improve bilateral relations, according to a statement by Turkey’s Communications Directorate.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional issues, it added.
