'Turkey continues to clean institutions of FETÖ terrorists'

National Defense Minister Işık says they will purge FETÖ terrorists from all Turkish institution, adding that the Turkish military is 'stronger today'
National Defense Minister Fikri Işık has said Turkey is strong enough to purging all Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) members from all Turkish institutions.
"Every party that attacks Turkish soldiers should know that Turkish soldiers are stronger today," he wrote on Twitter, calling these parties as “inglorious".
"Heroic Turkish soldiers have been putting all their efforts [into fighting] FETÖ terrorists and other terrorists in Operation Euphrates Shield in Syria," he said.
The military announced on its website on Wednesday, Feb. 1, that personnel figures for the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) had increased since February 2016, with a total of 362,284 military personnel currently serving in the TAF.
The figure increases to 401,199 when civilian personnel are added, according to the statement that was issued on the TAF website.
The June figures show that gendarmerie personnel stood at 160,148.
The figure for February 2017 is 3,000 more than in February 2016, despite the dismissals from the military as part of the ongoing investigation into the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), which was responsible for the July 15 coup attempt that targeted the democratically elected government.
Turkey initiated an extensive, ongoing investigation into FETÖ following the coup attempt.
