Turkish defense firm Aser to equip UN vehicles with RF jammers

Turkish defense manufacturer Aser Technology has secured a United Nations contract to supply advanced radio frequency jamming systems for armored vehicles in African peacekeeping missions. This marks a significant international endorsement of Türkiye's growing defense technology sector.
A Turkish defense technology firm has won a major international contract to protect United Nations peacekeeping vehicles with its advanced electronic warfare systems. Istanbul-based Aser Technology will supply its sophisticated radio frequency (RF) jammers for integration into the UN's armored vehicle fleet deployed for operations across Africa. The company prevailed in a competitive global tender, underscoring the rising quality and competitiveness of Türkiye's indigenous defense industry on the world stage.
Advanced protection against modern threats
Aser Technology specializes in developing tactical electronic warfare and satellite communication systems. According to company General Manager Ertan Murat, the supplied RF jammers are designed to neutralize remote-controlled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and drones, which are prevalent threats in conflict zones. "Our offerings can jam effectively across the entire spectrum, including 4.5G and 5G systems, drones, and GNSS frequency bands, with a much wider range," Murat explained. This capability is critical for safeguarding convoys and personnel in complex operational environments.
Building on two decades of domestic expertise
The company's success on the global market is rooted in extensive domestic experience. Murat noted that Aser has served the Turkish Armed Forces in jammer projects for over twenty years. This long-term collaboration allowed the firm to develop and refine technologies based on real-world field conditions and evolving military needs. "We developed new jamming technologies that meet the conditions and needs of the real field," he stated, highlighting the practical, battle-tested foundation of their products.
A milestone for Türkiye's defense sector
Securing this United Nations project represents a prestigious milestone for both Aser Technology and the broader Turkish defense industry. It demonstrates an ability to meet stringent international standards and compete directly with established global defense contractors. This achievement aligns with Türkiye's strategic vision of enhancing its technological sovereignty and becoming a significant exporter of high-tech defense solutions, contributing to both national security and economic growth.
