Turkish Intelligence Chief to Join Gaza Ceasefire Talks in Egypt

Turkish National Intelligence Organization Chief Ibrahim Kalin is set to travel to Egypt to participate in critical negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza. According to Turkish security sources, the discussions in Sharm el-Sheikh will prioritize establishing a truce, arranging prisoner exchanges, and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian territory.

Prior to the Egypt talks, Kalin engaged in consultations with officials from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and the Palestinian group Hamas. This diplomatic groundwork reflects Türkiye's active role in the multilateral efforts to resolve the conflict, building upon indirect negotiations that commenced in Doha last week.
