Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Aleksandar Vucic meet in capital Budapest, where both leaders invited to attend Hungary's founding day celebrations

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic met on Sunday in Hungary for talks.

No further information was shared with the media about the closed-door meeting between Erdogan and Vucic.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban invited the presidents to the capital Budapest to attend Hungary's founding day celebrations.

Türkiye sees Serbia as an important country for the stability of the region and supports its integration with the EU.

Bilateral ties with Serbia are progressing positively, and commercial and economic relations are developing with strong momentum.

The Türkiye-Serbia High-level Cooperation Council was established in 2017.
