Türkiye fires back at Netanyahu over Erdoğan remarks

Ankara’s communications chief has dismissed the Israeli premier’s verbal attack on President Erdoğan, calling Netanyahu a “criminal with arrest warrants” who has lost all allies. The official warned that the Israeli leader is dragging the region into deeper turmoil.
Türkiye delivered a sharp response on Saturday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directed fresh criticism toward President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. A senior Turkish official stated that Netanyahu lacks any moral standing or legitimacy to lecture anyone, given his documented record of regional aggression.
Netanyahu accused of Gaza genocide and regional wars
Burhanettin Duran, Türkiye’s Communications Director, wrote on the US-based platform X that Netanyahu has orchestrated a genocide in Gaza and launched attacks on seven countries across the region. Duran argued that the Israeli leader’s decision to target President Erdoğan stems from sheer desperation.
Isolated leader clinging to power
“Everyone knows that he has no moral values,” Duran said, adding that Netanyahu is a “criminal with arrest warrants to his name with no friends left.” The Turkish official stressed that the Israeli premier is deliberately fueling instability and conflict as a strategy to remain in power.

Accountability inevitable, says Ankara
Duran concluded that Netanyahu will “be held accountable sooner or later for his crimes against humanity.” He reiterated Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to fighting oppressors and building “a more just, peaceful, and secure world.” Ankara has consistently backed international legal action against the Israeli leader, including the ICC arrest warrant.
