Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan declared Türkiye's readiness to contribute to Gaza "in every way possible" following his participation in the inaugural Board of Peace meeting chaired by President Donald Trump in Washington. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced Thursday that Türkiye stands prepared to contribute comprehensively to Gaza's recovery and stabilization, speaking immediately after attending the inaugural Board of Peace meeting hosted by President Donald Trump in Washington. The gathering brought together representatives from more than 45 nations to coordinate Gaza's reconstruction and broader international stabilization efforts.
Comprehensive Support Pledge
"Our message is this: whether it's humanitarian aid, the administration of Gaza, infrastructure and superstructure services, or contributing to the International Stabilization Force, we are ready to provide all kinds of support in all these areas," Fidan told Anadolu and TRT in the US capital. The declaration signals Ankara's intention to play an active role in post-conflict Gaza, leveraging its diplomatic relations and development expertise to address urgent humanitarian needs and long-term reconstruction challenges.
Multilateral Engagement
Fidan's participation in the high-level Washington meeting underscores Türkiye's continued diplomatic engagement on the Palestinian issue and its willingness to work within multilateral frameworks to address Gaza's dire situation. The Board of Peace initiative represents a coordinated international approach to stabilizing Gaza following the recent ceasefire, with Türkiye positioning itself as a key contributor to both immediate relief and longer-term reconstruction efforts alongside regional and global partners.
