Türkiye surpasses 100,000 new company registrations in first 11 months

Türkiye's entrepreneurial activity remained robust as over 9,400 new companies were established in November, pushing the year-to-date total beyond 100,000. According to TOBB data, the number of firms closing also declined year-on-year, indicating a relatively stable business environment.
Türkiye recorded 9,496 new company registrations in November, bringing the total number of firms established in the first eleven months of the year to over 100,000, according to data released by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB). The figures highlight sustained entrepreneurial momentum in the Turkish economy despite a minor annual decline.
Monthly and Annual Performance Trends
The November figure represents a 5.9% decrease compared to the same month in 2024, and a 9.6% drop from October's count of 10,505 new companies. Concurrently, the number of companies that ceased operations in November stood at 2,190, showing a 7.3% year-on-year decline and a 16.7% decrease from the previous month. This parallel reduction in both new entries and exits suggests a period of market consolidation.
Cumulative Year-to-Date Figures
From January through November 2025, a total of 100,984 new companies were launched in Türkiye, marking a slight 1.8% dip from the equivalent period in 2024. On the other hand, company liquidations in the first eleven months reached 27,185, a 4.5% increase compared to the previous year. The data indicates that net company formation, while positive, is experiencing a gradual normalization.
International Partnership Activity
A notable segment of November's new registrations included companies with foreign partners. Out of 9,496 new firms, 773 involved international participation. Turkish partners were involved in 589 of these, while the most frequent foreign partners hailed from Iran (22 companies) and Azerbaijan (12 companies), reflecting ongoing regional economic ties.
