In an update on Sunday, Valais cantonal police announced the final 16 victims had been identified. A previous update on the same day listed victims with Swiss, Italian, Romanian, French, and Türkiye citizenship, highlighting the tragedy's broad impact across Europe. A criminal investigation is actively underway, with two managers of the 'Le Constellation' bar formally accused of "negligent homicide, negligent personal injury and negligent arson." Preliminary findings from the prosecutor's office suggest the blaze was ignited by sparklers on champagne bottles that were held too close to the ceiling.
