Alport Conakry: A new era of social dialogue begins with the management committee

October 17, 2025, marked the first official meeting between the General Management of Alport Conakry and the newly established Interim Management Committee of the Union Syndicale des Travailleurs de Guinée (USTG), ahead of upcoming union elections.

Welcomed by General Manager Mustafa Levent Adalı, Deputy General Manager Ousmane Savane, Director of Representation and Protocol Ecevit Ercan, and the Deputy Director of Resources, the committee members engaged in a constructive and respectful exchange.

This meeting is part of a series of outreach initiatives launched by the new committee to connect with key actors within the port community. Discussions mainly focused on improving employees’ working and living conditions — a shared priority for both sides.

Levent Adalı reaffirmed the management’s full commitment to transparent cooperation and supporting all initiatives that promote employee well-being. He also encouraged the committee members to work toward maintaining a calm social climate while defending the rights and interests of workers.

This first meeting, rich in promise and positive outlooks, opens a new chapter of social dialogue within Alport Conakry. It paves the way for tangible improvements in employee welfare and strengthens the foundation for long-term collaboration between management and employee representatives — in service of performance, cohesion, and harmony across the port community.
