At least 6 killed in strike east of Tehran, including 3 children

A US-Israeli airstrike on a residential area in the city of Pardis, east of Tehran, has killed at least six people, including three children, according to Iranian media. Rescue teams recovered the bodies from under the rubble following Tuesday’s attack.
A joint US-Israeli airstrike targeting a residential neighborhood east of Iran’s capital has killed at least six civilians, Iranian media reported Tuesday. Mehr News Agency said the strike hit the city of Pardis, where emergency rescue teams recovered six bodies from beneath the debris of destroyed buildings. Among the victims were three children, the report added, though no further details were provided about their ages or identities.
Civilian toll mounts as war intensifies
The attack on Pardis marks yet another incident in which residential areas have been struck since the US-Israeli air offensive against Iran began on February 28. The campaign has so far killed more than 1,340 people, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as numerous civilians. Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and infrastructure damage while disrupting global markets and aviation.
Türkiye’s condemnation of civilian casualties
For Türkiye, which has consistently called for the protection of civilians under international humanitarian law, the killing of children in residential strikes is deeply alarming. Ankara has repeatedly urged all parties to avoid targeting populated areas and to prioritize diplomatic solutions over military escalation. Turkish officials have also called for independent investigations into civilian deaths and have stressed that the continued loss of innocent life makes a political resolution more urgent than ever. As the war enters its sixth week, Türkiye continues to advocate for an immediate ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian access to affected areas.
