“Century of Türkiye” summit on investment and finance held in Istanbul

A summit focused on investment and finance titled “Century of Türkiye” was held at the Istanbul Finance Center
Organized at the Istanbul Finance Center, the summit “The Century of Türkiye in Investment and Finance” brought together leading public and private-sector figures around Türkiye’s economic vision.

The summit “The Century of Türkiye in Investment and Finance,” organized by Albayrak Media at the Istanbul Financial Center – Halkbank Hall, gathered representatives from the administration, the private sector, and the finance world around Türkiye’s new-era economic vision. The event saw strong participation and was part of the “Century of Türkiye” series, which highlights the country’s structural transformation across various sectors.
In previous editions, these meetings explored key fields such as energy, exports, agriculture, trade, infrastructure, and logistics. The summit dedicated to investment and finance marks the latest step in the series, with a focus on economic policy, financial transformation, and investment strategies.
An opening centered on Türkiye’s vision
Albayrak Media’s general manager, Abdullah Hanönü, opened the event by emphasizing the group’s commitment to “the light of truth” and its mission to contribute to the country’s development. He noted that the Century of Türkiye summits help strengthen collective intelligence and offer a respected platform both in Türkiye and internationally.
The banking sector at the center of discussions
The first thematic speech was delivered by Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan, who outlined the medium-term goals of the banking sector and efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, especially for women entrepreneurs and young people. He also confirmed ongoing progress regarding Halk Katılım.
Ziraat Bankası General Manager and Chair of the Banks Association of Türkiye, Alpaslan Çakar, followed with an analysis of the sector’s current situation, highlighting credit policies geared toward export-driven growth and Türkiye’s leadership role in foreign trade.
Investment vision and financial transformation
Türkiye Wealth Fund General Manager Arda Ermut stressed the importance of long-term, value-creating investments and the strategic role of the Istanbul Finance Center in the country’s financial transformation.
Presidential Investment and Finance Office President Burak Dağlıoğlu emphasized investments as a key driver of growth, as well as the importance of digitalization, sustainable finance, participation finance, and international competitiveness.
