Chad has closed its border with Sudan until further notice, the Information Ministry announced Monday, citing repeated cross-border incursions and violations by warring factions in neighboring Sudan's ongoing civil conflict. The ministry stated on social media that all trade and travel across the border are suspended, with exceptions possible only for humanitarian purposes requiring prior government approval.

The measure aims to prevent Sudan's war from spilling into Chadian territory, protect citizens and refugees, and safeguard national stability and territorial integrity. The ministry emphasized that Chad reserves the right under international law to respond to any aggression or violation of its borders.
