Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz has committed to strengthening the strategic partnership between Berlin and Ankara during his first official visit to the Turkish capital. In a statement ahead of his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Merz highlighted the multifaceted nature of German-Turkish relations and his government's intention to expand cooperation across several key sectors.
