Houthis: Renewed Iran war would ‘hit everyone’

Yemen’s Houthi group has warned that any new US attack on Iran would plunge the region into a wider conflict “whose flames would hit everyone,” threatening global energy markets. The group urged Islamic nations to confront what it called a “Zionist plan.”
Yemen’s Houthi movement issued a stark warning Wednesday that any renewed US military action against Iran would trigger a regional war with devastating consequences for the global economy and energy security. The message was sent by Abdulwahid Abu Ras, acting foreign minister in the Houthi-led government, to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to the group’s SABA news agency.
Regional and global repercussions
Abu Ras stated that attacks on Iran threaten stability across the region and beyond, warning: “The continuation of the aggression against Iran will drag the region and the world into a war whose consequences everyone will suffer from.” He added that strikes on Iran target “the entire nation” and called on Islamic countries to confront a “Zionist plan” aimed at the whole region. The Houthi official also welcomed diplomatic efforts seeking a political solution to end the hostilities.
Houthi involvement in the conflict
In late March, the Houthis officially joined the US-Israeli war on Iran, launching missile and drone attacks against Israel in support of Tehran. The group’s warning comes amid heightened tensions, with President Trump having recently described the Iran ceasefire as on “massive life support” and reportedly considering resuming military operations.
