Iran commander says Israeli pressure strengthened resistance

The head of Iran’s Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, declared that ongoing Israeli attacks and civilian casualties have only made the “resistance front” more unified and resilient. He argued that increased pressure leads to greater strength, not defeat or surrender.
Iran’s Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani stated on Sunday that Israeli military pressure and assaults have paradoxically strengthened the so-called “resistance front.” According to Iran’s IRNA state news agency, Qaani asserted that the front remains fully cohesive despite escalating attacks.
Pressure backfires, says Qaani
“The Zionist regime believes that by pressuring the resistance and martyring its members and innocent, oppressed people, it can lead them to defeat, weakness or surrender,” Qaani said. He argued that the opposite has occurred: the more pressure the resistance front faces, the stronger and more resilient it becomes. “Today, the resistance front is stronger and more united than ever,” he added.
Talks continue in Islamabad
The commander’s remarks came as Iran and the United States are conducting landmark negotiations in Islamabad, hosted by Pakistan. The talks are considered the most significant direct dialogue between the two nations since 1979 and are taking place under a fragile two-week ceasefire announced earlier this week.
