Iran’s top diplomat: No military solution to issues involving Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that there is no military solution to any issue involving Iran, and Tehran will not yield to threats. Speaking at a BRICS meeting in India, he said Iran emerges “stronger and more united” under pressure.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Thursday that there is no military resolution to any matter concerning Iran, and that Tehran will not surrender to pressure or threats, according to Iranian media reports.
Iran ‘invincible,’ says top diplomat
Speaking during a BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in India under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability,” Araghchi said Iran has twice been subjected to “brutal and illegal aggression” by the US and Israel in less than a year, as reported by Fars News Agency. “It should now be clear to everyone that Iran is invincible, and whenever it is subjected to pressure, it emerges stronger and more united than before,” he said. He added that Iran is prepared to “fight with full force” in defense of its freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while remaining fully committed to diplomacy.
Peace-loving nation, crushing response if attacked
“As I have repeatedly emphasized, there is no military solution to any issue related to Iran,” Araghchi said. “We Iranians will not yield to any pressure or threat, but we will respond with respect.” He stressed that Iran’s armed forces are ready to deliver a “powerful and crushing” response to foreign aggressors, while insisting that the Iranian people are peace-loving and do not seek war. “In this shameful situation, we are not the aggressors, but rather the wronged and violated party,” he said. Regional tensions escalated after the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28, leading to Iranian retaliation and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. A Pakistan-brokered ceasefire took effect on April 8 but has not produced a permanent agreement. The US has maintained a naval blockade since April 13. Türkiye continues to urge dialogue and restraint, warning that no party can win a full-scale war in the Gulf.
