Israel has reported more than 5,200 injuries since the outbreak of its conflict with Iran, with dozens still hospitalized, as cross-border strikes continue to drive casualties and regional instability. The latest figures come amid tight media restrictions and ongoing exchanges that have disrupted security dynamics across the Middle East.

Israel’s Health Ministry said a total of 5,229 people have been wounded since the start of hostilities with Iran, including 149 injured in the past 24 hours. The data reflects the growing human toll of the conflict, which has intensified since late February amid sustained military operations.

Rising casualties and hospitalisations

According to official figures, 114 individuals remain in hospital, including 14 listed in serious condition and 28 in moderate condition, while the majority are being treated for minor injuries. Among the latest casualties, three were reported to be in critical condition following recent Iranian strikes.

The figures underscore the continued impact of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli territory, as part of Tehran’s retaliation against ongoing US and Israeli air operations.

Fatalities and security restrictions

The Institute for National Security Studies estimates that at least 19 people have been killed since the conflict began. However, Israeli authorities have imposed strict controls on information related to the damage caused by Iranian attacks, limiting media coverage and restricting the publication of sensitive footage or strike locations.

These measures are part of broader wartime protocols aimed at maintaining operational security, though they have also reduced transparency regarding the scale of destruction.

Escalating regional conflict

Since Feb. 28, the United States and Israel have carried out extensive airstrikes across Iran, resulting in more than 1,340 deaths, including senior leadership figures. Iran has responded with coordinated missile and drone attacks not only on Israel but also on targets in Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.

The widening confrontation has heightened risks to regional stability, disrupted aviation routes, and triggered volatility in global energy markets, particularly around strategic transit points such as the Strait of Hormuz.
