Israeli airstrikes kill at least 19 Palestinians in Gaza, including children, in post-ceasefire attacks

At least 19 Palestinians, including multiple children and women, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza early Saturday, according to local medical sources. The attacks targeted residential areas, a displacement camp, and a police station, amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations across the Gaza Strip early Saturday, killing at least 19 Palestinians and wounding several others, according to medical and local sources. Among the dead were three children and two women killed in a strike on a residential apartment in Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood. In southern Khan Younis, seven family members—a man, his three sons, and three young grandchildren—died when an airstrike hit a tent sheltering displaced people in the Asdaa area.
Additional strikes and damage
Further attacks were reported in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, on al-Jalaa Street northwest of the city, and near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. An Israeli warplane also struck the administration building of the “Ghaith” displacement camp in Khan Younis after issuing an evacuation warning, sparking a fire that destroyed tents. In a separate attack, the Sheikh Radwan police station west of Gaza City was hit, killing at least seven police personnel, with search operations ongoing for missing individuals trapped under rubble.
Ceasefire violations and humanitarian impact
Gaza’s media office stated on Saturday that Israeli actions since the October ceasefire have resulted in 524 Palestinian fatalities and 1,360 injuries, with 1,450 violations recorded. The office also reported that only 43% of the humanitarian aid trucks agreed upon under the ceasefire have been allowed into Gaza. The truce ended a two-year Israeli offensive that killed nearly 71,800 Palestinians, wounded over 171,400, and destroyed approximately 90% of civilian infrastructure, with UN-estimated reconstruction costs of around $70 billion.
