Israeli forces arrested at least 50 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank on Thursday during a series of military raids, according to a Palestinian advocacy group. The operations, which included home demolitions, are part of a broader pattern of intensified military activity in the territory.

Arrest campaign across multiple cities

The Palestinian Prisoner Society stated that the arrests targeted several cities, including Ramallah, Hebron, Nablus, and East Jerusalem, with a woman among those detained. The group reported that the raids involved extensive home searches, property destruction, and alleged assaults against detainees and their families. It noted that over 7,000 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank throughout 2025.

Home demolitions east of Jericho

In a separate development, Israeli forces demolished two Palestinian homes east of Jericho, citing a lack of building permits, and issued a demolition order for a third. Local sources said bulldozers razed the structures in areas classified as "Area C," which is under full Israeli military and civil control according to the Oslo Accords.

Context of rising violence and international rulings

Palestinian figures indicate that since October 2023, more than 1,100 Palestinians have been killed and around 21,000 detained in the West Bank. These actions continue despite a landmark International Court of Justice opinion last July, which declared Israel's occupation illegal and called for the evacuation of settlements, highlighting a deepening crisis in the territory.
