Kuwait Airways resumes flights after Iranian attacks, limited to Terminal 4

Kuwait’s General Directorate of Civil Aviation announced a partial resumption of flight operations at Kuwait International Airport, allowing only Kuwait Airways flights to operate through Terminal 4 following damage assessments. Earlier, Kuwait said Iranian strikes killed one person, injured several others, and damaged the airport and diplomatic missions.
Kuwait’s General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced on Wednesday a partial resumption of flight operations at Kuwait International Airport, following damage assessments after Iranian drone and missile attacks. In a statement, the authority said that only Kuwait Airways flights would be allowed to operate, using Terminal 4. Technical teams and relevant authorities “had completed evaluations of the damage and implemented the necessary measures to ensure the safety of flight operations,” the DGCA said. Passengers were urged to coordinate directly with Kuwait Airways to verify flight schedules and travel details.
Casualties and damage
Earlier, Kuwait announced that Iranian strikes had killed one person, injured several others, and damaged key facilities, including Kuwait International Airport and diplomatic missions. The government stressed that it “reserves the right” to respond to the attacks. The strikes targeted US bases in Kuwait, according to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, but Kuwaiti civilian infrastructure was also hit. The attack marks a major escalation, as it directly impacted a US ally’s critical infrastructure and resulted in the first confirmed fatality of the conflict in Kuwait.
