Palestinian child killed by Israeli fire in Gaza, violating ceasefire again

An 11-year-old Palestinian child was killed and four others were wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza on Thursday, according to medical sources, in the latest reported breach of the October ceasefire. The incidents occurred in the north and south of the besieged enclave.
Child killed in Jabalia, four injured in Khan Younis
Medical sources reported that the child was killed when Israeli forces opened fire in the town of Jabalia al-Nazla in northern Gaza. Separately, four Palestinians, including a woman and a child, were injured by Israeli gunfire near the Nemsawi Cemetery in the southern city of Khan Younis and were taken to the Nasser Medical Complex for treatment.
Accusations of repeated ceasefire violations
Palestinian authorities have consistently accused Israel of violating the terms of the truce that halted a two-year war. That broader genocide, which began in October 2023, resulted in over 71,000 fatalities and more than 171,000 injuries before the ceasefire took effect.
Cumulative death toll since the truce
According to the Gaza government media office, at least 416 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,110 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire officially began on October 10. These continued casualties underscore the fragility of the truce and the dire humanitarian situation that persists in the territory.
