Port Security: Alport Conakry Boosts Capacity With Modern Equipment, Specialized Training

As part of its modernization and safety strategy, Alport Conakry, a subsidiary of Albayrak Group, has reached a new milestone by equipping the Port of Conakry with an ultra-modern fire truck and a state-of-the-art water tanker.
To ensure optimal use of this new equipment, the company organized a five-day intensive training for 29 firefighters working at the port. Led by two international experts, the program covered key operational areas including water and foam maneuvering, emergency response techniques, and hazardous materials risk management.
Training coordinator Seval Ercan praised the participants’ strong commitment and emphasized that this initiative is part of a long-term strategy to build Alport Conakry’s in-house capabilities. This view was echoed by trainer Jean-Baptiste Guillaumar, who described the program as a solid foundation for more advanced modules in the future.
The head of the firefighting unit, Ismaël Baba Nabé, expressed pride in the progress made by his team and their strengthened operational readiness.

Through this initiative, Alport Conakry reaffirms its commitment to combining safety, innovation, and performance — fully in line with Albayrak Group’s vision to transform the Port of Conakry into a model of modern, responsible, and secure port management.
