PYD bans adhan, prayer in northern Syria

Terror group PYD in northern Syria bans adhan, Muslim prayer in areas seized from the FSA as it continues ethnic cleansing in the area

The Democratic Union Party (PYD), the political wing of the YPG terrorist organization, banned the Islamic call to prayer, adhan, and Muslim prayer in the area in northern Syria controlled by the group.

“PYD considers banning adhan a victory of their revolutionary war," said Abu Hilal, the Brigadier General of Jeysh us-Sunnah, a Free Syrian Army (FSA) affiliate group.

With the support of Russian air power and Syrian regime forces, the YPG terror group continues to attack areas controlled by Western-backed moderate opposition groups despite the nationwide ceasefire agreement.

The group banned adhan and Islamic prayer in Tel Rifat, Ahras, Kefer Naya, Der Jinail and Ain Dakna town after seizing them from FSA.

“PYD's main war, [as they are] predators of the Syrian people and popular revolution, is against Islam," said Abu Hillal, claiming that PYD began this war to serve imperialist powers and Iran.

He vowed that PYD will lose the war soon.

“Sectarian Iran, terror state Russia and PYD have turned the country [Syria] into ruin for their own interests," he added.

“But the biggest treachery came from the PYD terror group. They insulted the Holy Quran; they played Communist slogans and chants from the minarets," he said. “After seizing the Arab- or Turkmen-populated areas, they looted and killed Arabs, Turkmens and even Kurds who opposed their brutality."

Abu Hilal said that Arabs, Turks and Kurds were living together and fighting together before PYD. “PYD is a dagger to the Syrian popular revolution," he added.

He said that PYD was a more dangerous terror group than Daesh in Syria and Iraq. “Syrian people know their enemies very well," said Halil, and vowed that they would defeat the PYD sooner or later.
