Trump declares ‘complete victory’ after Iran ceasefire, Sky News reports

President Donald Trump has declared “complete victory” following a ceasefire with Iran, telling Sky News that all US military objectives in the country have been achieved. He praised Tehran’s 10-point plan as a basis for negotiations but warned that the US is ready to resume strikes if talks fail.
US President Donald Trump claimed a decisive military triumph in Iran following the implementation of a two-week ceasefire, Sky News reported early Monday. In a brief phone call with the broadcaster, Trump described the truce as “very good” and stated that the United States had accomplished all of its military goals. “We’ve done everything we want to do militarily,” he said, framing the outcome as a “complete victory.”
Iran’s 10-point plan welcomed
Trump revealed that Tehran had put forward a 10-point proposal that appears to offer a foundation for further negotiations. “They’re very good points, and most of them have been fully negotiated,” he said, adding that he would not characterize Iran’s demands as “maximalist.” The comments suggest a notable shift in tone from the president, who just days earlier had threatened to wipe out Iran’s civilian infrastructure.
Warning of renewed strikes
Despite his optimism, Trump warned that the US is prepared to resume military action if the ceasefire and subsequent negotiations do not hold. “If they are not good, we will go right back to it very easily,” he said. The ceasefire, brokered by Pakistan, has paused a conflict that began with US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, killing more than 1,400 people, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. For Türkiye, which has consistently called for diplomacy, the ceasefire is a welcome first step. However, Ankara urges all parties to move beyond temporary pauses and work toward a permanent peace that addresses the root causes of the conflict, warning that Trump’s “complete victory” rhetoric may complicate genuine reconciliation.
