UAE intercepts Iranian missiles, drones; 3 hurt

The United Arab Emirates announced Friday that its air defense forces had successfully intercepted two ballistic missiles and three drones fired from Iranian territory. The Defense Ministry confirmed that the incursions resulted in three moderate injuries, describing the launches as “blatant Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates.”
Staggering interception totals since February
In a detailed statement, the ministry revealed that since the start of US-Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28, UAE air defenses have intercepted a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,263 drones. The cumulative number of injuries from such attacks has reached 230, involving multiple nationalities. The figures underscore the intensity of the cross-border exchanges that have accompanied the broader Gulf conflict.
