Ukrainian Military Claims Russian Targets Hit
Ukraine's General Staff reported that its forces struck nine concentrations of Russian personnel, five command posts, six artillery systems, a drone control point, and what was described as "one other important target." Ukrainian media sources alleged this target was an oil refinery in the Volgograd region, which reportedly caught fire following a drone strike. Volgograd Governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed an attack on energy infrastructure, acknowledging damage to a residential building and ongoing debris clearance operations.
Russian Defense Claims and Regional Precautions
The Russian Defense Ministry asserted its air defense systems intercepted 108 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles across multiple territories. Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar reported a significant drone incursion spanning 12 districts, including areas near the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant. In Tatarstan, authorities in Kazan preemptively suspended classes at all educational institutions due to drone threats. Both sides continue to report damage to civilian and energy infrastructure, with independent verification of claims remaining challenging.
