Turkish Airlines wins Europe’s best food and beverage award for 5th time

Turkish Airlines received the APEX Best in Class in Food and Beverages Execution award for the fifth time, based on anonymous passenger feedback from over 1 million flights. APEX Group CEO Joe Leader praised the airline for bringing Türkiye’s rich culture and hospitality to the world through its in-flight catering.
Turkish Airlines has been awarded the Best in Class in Food and Beverages Execution at the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) awards for the fifth time, the airline announced. The award was presented at a ceremony in Dublin on Wednesday. This year’s APEX awards were determined based on anonymous and verified passenger feedback, in collaboration with travel planning app TripIt by Concur. Passengers rated over 1 million flights operated by more than 600 airlines worldwide across five categories: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverages, in-flight entertainment, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Recognition of Turkish hospitality
Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmustur welcomed the award, attributing the success to the “passion and craftsmanship the teams demonstrate at every stage.” He thanked passengers for their trust and airline workers for bringing the experience to life. APEX Group CEO Joe Leader said Turkish Airlines brings the quality of its in-flight catering, as well as Türkiye’s rich culture and hospitality, to the world. Turkish Airlines’ in-flight catering program features a rich selection of menus and evolving concepts across its international network, which serves destinations in 130 countries.
Türkiye’s soft power
For Türkiye, Turkish Airlines’ repeated recognition is a significant soft power achievement. The airline is a key ambassador for Turkish cuisine and hospitality, which helps attract tourism and business. Despite challenges such as the Iran war, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz (which affects fuel prices), and regional conflicts, Turkish Airlines has continued to expand its network. The award also boosts the morale of Turkish citizens and diaspora communities who take pride in the national carrier.
