IRGC targets US fighter jet base in Jordan with ballistic missiles

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Thursday its Aerospace Force launched 12 ballistic missiles at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, claiming the strike destroyed American fighter jets and facilities in retaliation for recent US attacks on targets near Tehran and a local Guard base in Pishva County.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Thursday that its Aerospace Force launched 12 ballistic missiles at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, targeting a facility hosting American F-35, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets in response to recent US strikes on Iranian territory.
Missile strikes on Jordan base
In a statement, the IRGC said the attack destroyed facilities and a large number of US aircraft at the base. The strikes came in response to American missile attacks on a recreational site, an industrial complex and areas near Karaj and Nazarabad west of Tehran, along with a Guard base in Pishva County. The elite force vowed operations would continue as long as "enemy aggression" persists.
Wider regional attacks
The IRGC earlier said it struck 18 major US military targets at Ali Al Salem and Ahmad Al Jaber bases in Kuwait, plus Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain. Iranian military statements also reported attacks on Patriot systems, communications facilities and the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The coordinated assaults mark a significant expansion of Tehran's campaign against American assets.
The developments came amid rapidly escalating tensions following US strikes on southern Iran and subsequent Iranian attacks on US military installations throughout the region. Washington and Tehran have exchanged multiple rounds of fire since late February, with the latest salvos threatening to draw neighboring countries deeper into the conflict.
