The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said late Saturday that six Palestinians were injured from tear gas inhalation during an Israeli raid on Al-Faraa refugee camp, as occupation forces launched simultaneous operations across multiple West Bank cities including Al-Bireh and Hebron.

Al-Faraa casualties

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported late Saturday that six Palestinians sustained injuries from tear gas inhalation during an Israeli military raid on the Al-Faraa refugee camp south of Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank. Medical crews treated all victims at the scene, according to the humanitarian organization.

The raid occurred amid new Israeli incursions elsewhere in the occupied territory, with forces deploying to multiple cities and villages simultaneously.

Northern West Bank operations

Israeli forces entered Al-Bireh and deployed across several neighborhoods, the official Voice of Palestine radio reported. No arrests or home raids were documented during that operation.

In the village of Al-Mughayyir northeast of Ramallah, Israeli forces fired tear gas toward Palestinian homes during a raid that resulted in no reported injuries. The operations form part of ongoing military activities in the northern governorates.

Hebron restrictions

Israeli soldiers assaulted journalists and prevented them from working in Hebron's Old City as Israeli occupiers entered the area under military protection, according to the Voice of Palestine broadcaster. Witnesses told Anadolu that a group of occupiers, escorted by soldiers, entered the Old City and moved toward the Bab al-Baladiyeh area.

The forces imposed restrictions on Palestinian residents and shopkeepers, preventing them from moving through the area, witnesses added. The Old City remains a focal point for tensions between residents and occupation troops.

Pattern of escalation

Israeli forces conduct military incursions in the occupied West Bank on an almost daily basis, often involving gunfire, home raids and arrests. The frequency of operations has increased markedly since October 2023.

Since the start of Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the army and settler groups have stepped up attacks in the occupied West Bank alongside the expansion of illegal settlements and increased restrictions on Palestinian movement. Saturday's raids reflect the continuing military presence across the territory.
