Israeli attacks kill 3 Palestinians in Gaza amid ceasefire violations

Fresh Israeli military strikes have claimed three Palestinian lives and left ten others wounded across the Gaza Strip, marking the latest escalation in ongoing ceasefire violations. The attacks targeted multiple locations including Gaza City and Deir al-Balah, compounding the humanitarian crisis in the besieged territory where aid delivery remains severely restricted despite international agreements.
Fresh Violations in Gaza
Israeli military forces conducted fresh airstrikes and drone operations across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, resulting in multiple civilian casualties. Medical authorities reported that three Palestinians lost their lives in a single strike targeting an animal-drawn cart near the Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza City’s Zeitoun district. The victims were transported to the Saraya field hospital operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, where medical teams confirmed the fatalities and treated one critically wounded survivor.
Multi-Front Attacks Target Civilians
The violence extended across multiple fronts throughout the Palestinian territory. In the eastern reaches of Gaza City, two individuals sustained injuries following a quadcopter drone strike in the Shujaiya neighborhood. Central Gaza witnessed similar aggression when a drone attack near Shuhadaa Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah wounded six civilians. Maritime operations also proved deadly, as Israeli naval forces opened fire on fishing vessels off Rafah’s northwestern coast, injuring one fisherman. Artillery barrages further struck areas northeast of the Bureij refugee camp, though no casualties were reported from that incident.
Ceasefire Agreement Under Strain
These incidents represent merely the latest breaches of a fragile truce established last October. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israeli forces committed 377 distinct violations during April alone, resulting in 111 Palestinian deaths and 376 injuries. The office highlighted severe restrictions on humanitarian assistance, noting that only 4,503 aid trucks have entered the territory out of 18,000 mandated by the ceasefire terms—merely 25 percent of required supplies.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
The cumulative toll of hostilities continues to mount. Health Ministry figures indicate that 72,601 Palestinians have died since October 2023, with 172,419 others injured. Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli operations have killed 824 Palestinians and wounded 2,316 more. The two-year war, which began October 8, 2023, has devastated approximately 90 percent of civilian infrastructure, with United Nations estimates placing reconstruction costs at roughly $70 billion.
