Sisi: ''Brotherhood will not exist''
Egypt''s leading presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has vowed to root out Muslim Brotherhood if he wins.
In his TV interview of his campaign, Egypt''s former-army chief said the deposed leader of Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed Morsi, would not ''exist'' if he were won the presidential race.
''It is not me who finished the Brotherhood. The Egyptians, are the ones who finished it,'' he said. ''The problem is not with me.''
Sisi removed Egypt's first democratically elected President Morsi from power last July.
He is expected to win the presidential election on 26-27 May.
Morsi's supporters have continued protests against the new government.
Sisi denied he had any political ambition when he ousted President Morsi and launched a crackdown on the Brotherhood last year.
''The coup did not serve to any political aim and it was inevitable in those days. I became a candidate to fulfil people''s justified demands and restore the stability,'' he said.
Sisi said the minorities in Egypt supported his move for overthrowing Morsi. ''Jewish Synagogues and Church bells have never left us alone,'' he said.
