Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Bishkek on Aug. 31 for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said Sunday, noting the trip comes at Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov's invitation.
Visit agenda
The visit runs through Sept. 1, Duran stated on NSosyal. Erdogan will address the expanded-format session on Tuesday and hold bilateral meetings with regional leaders.
Regional bloc
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization comprises China, Russia, India, Pakistan and four Central Asian states. Türkiye maintains dialogue partner status within the security-focused bloc.
