The "II. News Copyright and AI in Media Symposium," organized by Anadolu and Bogazici University with support from Türkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is set to begin on Dec. 2 in Istanbul.

The event will take place at "Albert Long Hall" on Bogazici University's South Campus, bringing together media professionals, legal experts, academics, and technology specialists to address the challenges posed by digitalization in the media sector.

Highlighted sessions will include Member Country Experiences with the EU Digital Single Market Directive, Türkiye's Efforts to Address the Copyright Crisis in Journalism Caused by Digitalization, and The AI-Media-Copyright Triangle in News Production.

The symposium will feature prominent national and international speakers, including keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Henning Grosse Ruse-Khan from Cambridge University, Dr. Valentina Moscon from the Max Planck Institute, Dr. Ozgur Arikan from Bogazici University, and Giulia Li Greci, legal director at ANSA.
