Iran says Israeli strikes 'fully coordinated' with US

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Monday that Washington bears direct responsibility for the latest wave of Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic, warning that the United States will face consequences as Tehran accuses the International Atomic Energy Agency of taking a political approach to the nuclear file.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei on Monday accused the United States of fully coordinating recent Israeli strikes through US Central Command (CENTCOM), warning Washington that it would bear responsibility for escalating tensions. "The direct responsibility of the United States for the actions of the Zionist regime is clear, and the consequences will also fall on the United States," Baqaei told a news briefing, according to state news agency IRNA. He added that the strikes were "fully coordinated" with CENTCOM.
IAEA criticism
Baqaei also criticized International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi, stating his approach to Iran's nuclear case was "political" and "irresponsible." The remarks came after an Israeli airstrike targeted a petrochemical firm in southwestern Iran earlier on Monday, causing partial damage, Iranian officials said. Sirens sounded across several Israeli cities as Tehran launched retaliatory missiles amid the escalating exchanges.
Stalled ceasefire
The region has remained volatile since Washington and Tel Aviv launched airstrikes in late February, triggering Iranian retaliation against Israel and US assets across the region. A temporary ceasefire reached on April 8 has since stalled amid disputes over implementation. Diplomatic efforts remain frozen as military exchanges continue.
