Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar have denounced renewed Israeli strikes in Gaza, saying attacks that have killed civilians are putting the ceasefire at risk. The three mediating countries urged Israel to honor its commitments and called on the international community and the Board of Peace to use effective pressure to prevent further escalation.
Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar have jointly condemned renewed Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, warning that the reported deaths of civilians, including women and children, could further weaken the ceasefire and derail efforts to advance a broader Gaza peace process.
Mediators warn of rising tensions
In a joint statement issued Thursday, the three countries expressed serious concern over what they described as continuing breaches of the ceasefire. As key mediators, Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar said the latest escalation comes at a sensitive point for diplomatic efforts aimed at sustaining the Gaza truce.
The countries said work is continuing to advance the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. They pointed to recent contacts involving the Board of Peace and Israeli officials, as well as what they characterized as constructive developments in negotiations.
Call for Israel to uphold commitments
The mediators stressed that maintaining the ceasefire depends on all parties fulfilling their obligations. They specifically called on Israel to meet its commitments under the agreement and avoid steps that could further weaken the truce or contribute to a wider escalation.
"The mediating countries stress the imperative for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement," the statement said, while also urging restraint from actions that could intensify tensions.
Türkiye and partners seek international pressure
Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar also highlighted the humanitarian and regional consequences of continued Israeli military action in Gaza. The three countries called for stronger international engagement to ensure that the ceasefire is respected and that further escalation is prevented.
They appealed to the international community and the Board of Peace, led by US President Donald Trump and endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, to take concrete measures to support compliance with the truce.
"In view of the devastating consequences of the continued Israeli aggression in the region," the mediators called for "effective pressure to prevent further escalation," according to the joint statement.
