Saudi Arabia's Minister of Gulf Affairs is allegedly spearheading the activities, which include shipments of medicine and food
Saudi Arabia allegedly sent truckloads of military aid to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)/Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organizations in Syria.
Twelve ambulances and truckloads of medicine and food were sent to al-Hasakah. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Gulf Affairs, Thamer Al-Sabhan, is allegedly heading the activities.
US shipment in June
The U.S.'s most exhaustive shipments took place in June. The U.S. has supplied weapons to several armed groups in Syria, including the PKK/PYD.
Washington has sent the PKK/PYD Kalashnikov assault rifles, machine guns, heavy machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, anti-tank weapons, mortars, sniper rifles, night vision binoculars and laser illuminators.
The U.S. continues to provide military supplies to the PKK/PYD periodically.
The PKK is a designated terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU. Turkey believes the PYD is also a terrorist organization, as it is the Syrian offshoot the PKK.
The PKK has waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years, during which more than 40,000 people have been killed. The PKK is also involved in illicit drug production, manufacture, and trafficking.
