Türkiye forms four subcommissions under National Solidarity Law

Türkiye has set up four subcommissions to coordinate the implementation of the National Solidarity and Strengthening Social Cohesion Law, marking a new phase in Ankara’s efforts to strengthen social cohesion and address terrorism and violence.

Board sets framework for implementation

The decision was taken at the first session of the Monitoring and Evaluation Board, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz. The body was established under the new legislation to coordinate the work of state institutions involved in the process and establish the procedures that will guide its activities.

Justice, Foreign Affairs, Interior and National Defense ministers attended the meeting, along with the presidential chief of administrative affairs, the head of the National Intelligence Organization and the secretary-general of the National Security Council.

Four subcommissions assigned key areas

The board created four bodies covering separate areas of the implementation process: the Legal and Judicial Affairs Coordination Subcommission, Monitoring and Assessment Subcommission, Social Compliance and Integration Subcommission, and Disarmament and Strategic Coordination Subcommission.

The structure is intended to provide closer coordination among Türkiye’s institutions as authorities work toward the law’s stated objectives, including removing weapons from the political agenda, strengthening social integration and addressing terrorism and violence.

Government stresses national consensus

In a statement shared by Yilmaz, the board described the creation of the subcommissions as an “important milestone” in a process intended to eliminate terrorism and violence from Türkiye and the wider region while reinforcing social unity.

The statement also emphasized that the legislation was approved by the Turkish Parliament with a high degree of political and social support. The board said Türkiye would continue implementing the measures through coordinated action among state institutions to strengthen social integration.
