Gaza media office reports 194 Israeli violations of October ceasefire

The Government Media Office in Gaza has documented 194 Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10. According to office director Ismail al-Thawabteh, these breaches include military incursions, blocking humanitarian aid, and preventing the full reopening of the Rafah crossing, severely hampering relief efforts in the devastated territory.
Israeli forces have committed 194 violations against the Gaza ceasefire agreement that became effective on October 10, according to the Palestinian Government Media Office. Director Ismail al-Thawabteh reported Sunday that these breaches include repeated military incursions beyond established withdrawal lines, obstruction of critical humanitarian supplies, and multiple incidents of gunfire and shelling within the designated ceasefire period.
Systematic Ceasefire Breaches
Thawabteh detailed that Israeli military vehicles have repeatedly crossed the designated "yellow line" - the withdrawal boundary established under the ceasefire terms - conducting airstrikes, demolitions, and operations in residential areas that have resulted in Palestinian casualties. The media office director warned civilians against approaching this demarcation line, noting that Israeli forces have previously targeted Palestinians attempting to inspect their damaged homes near the boundary area that divides the Gaza Strip south of Gaza City and north of Khan Younis.
Humanitarian Access Blocked
The Israeli military has systematically restricted humanitarian access by preventing the full entry of aid convoys and maintaining the closure of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, according to the media office. Thawabteh emphasized that only 3,203 aid trucks had entered Gaza during October out of the 13,200 stipulated in the agreement, representing just 24% compliance. Additionally, Israel has blocked the entry of medicines, medical equipment, and over 300,000 tents and mobile homes needed to shelter displaced families.
Recovery Equipment Restrictions
The ceasefire protocol included provisions for heavy machinery to recover bodies from beneath the rubble, but Thawabteh stated Israel has only permitted equipment for searching remains of Israeli captives while continuing to ban machinery for recovering approximately 9,500 missing Palestinians. The media office estimates that Israel's destruction of approximately 90% of Gaza's civilian infrastructure has caused initial losses estimated at $70 billion, with 288,000 Palestinian families currently living in streets and public areas without adequate shelter.
