Israel reports 10 soldiers killed in Lebanon, 309 wounded in Iran war

Military figures released by the army showed that 10 soldiers have been killed in southern Lebanon since March 2. The figures also revealed that 309 soldiers have been wounded, including 23 seriously and 55 moderately, in the war with Iran since Feb. 28.
Gaza war toll
According to military figures, 935 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 6,424 injured since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023. The Gaza war has killed more than 72,000 Palestinians and wounded over 172,000, with 90% of civilian infrastructure destroyed.
Civilian casualties
Israel's Health Ministry said that at least 6,286 people have been injured since the start of war with Iran. While the ministry has not released official death tolls, Israel's Institute for National Security Studies estimates that 29 people have been killed in the conflict. Israel maintains strict media controls on reporting damage and casualties.

Regional context
Regional escalation has continued to flare since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing over 1,340 people according to Iranian authorities, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. The conflict has expanded to Lebanon, where Israeli ground operations have displaced over one million people and Lebanese authorities report at least 1,247 killed since March 2.
